EuRho® Vital Prenatal Multivitamin

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

EuRho® Vital Prenatal Multivitamin provides 23 essential vitamins and minerals including folic acid, iron, iodine and vitamin D for all stages of pregnancy.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the foetus and baby are supplied with all of the important nutrients via the mother. An optimum supply of nutrients from the mother is therefore essential for the development of the child, but it is also important for the health and well-being of the mother.

Iron and the vitamins B6 and B12 contribute to normal formation of red blood cells. In addition, iron is an essential part of the red blood pigment haemoglobin and contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body. Vitamin C increases iron absorption and folic acid contributes to normal blood formation.

Supplemental folic acid intake increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor in the development of neural tube defects in the developing foetus. The beneficial effect is obtained with a supplemental folic acid daily intake of 400 μg for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.

During pregnancy folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth. In addition, folic acid has a role in the process of cell division and contributes to normal amino acid synthesis.

Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function and to normal cognitive and neurological function.

Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.

Vitamins B6, B12 and C contribute to the normal function of the immune system, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
