Bromelain is an enzyme extract derived from pineapple fruits (ananas comosus).

Enzymes can be produced by the body itself, but are also absorbed through food. Enzymes are proteins that accelerate and regulate metabolic processes in the body, they are therefore also called biocatalysts.

Curcumin, the well-known active ingredient from the turmeric root, has a long history of traditional use in various application areas.
