Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails and has a role in the process of cell division. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and has a role in the process of cell specialisation. Selenium contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and nails. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin and contributes – as well as vitamin E – to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
